Migration 

Problem:

A client that already had a hosting somewhere else would need to have an automated way to migrate his content by himself into the new bought hosting — Shared Hosting.

This was a new priority and the product started working on the requirements with tech teams to build it.

We started conversations with Product about what would be needed. We needed the actual feature, and that meant several streams of work:

A. Migration feature in Unboxing;

B. Migration feature working under the Hosting Manager once the user starts it in Unboxing;

C. Migration Page on the website front;

D. Update Shared Hosting Page to mention Migration and to link to Migration page;

The actual feature would be solved in Unbox. We wanted to solve it conceptually and technologically for all products, maintaining the Unboxing flow scalable and easy.

We developed a solution where the Migration step would be brought in Unboxing right from the start and the user would select that and then move to the Connect phase and then Configure phases.
